Agile Business Analyst

Four Hands is looking for an Agile Business Analyst to engage with business partners, primarily the Sales Operations group, to convert their ideas and requirements into development user stories.  This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills in order to effectively collaborate with business users, technology teams, and leadership in an Agile environment centered around our internal stakeholders.

This position works with business stakeholders to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine and communicate business needs so that business and/or technical delivery teams can build effective solutions. This requires a detailed understanding of internal customer needs, as well as business vision and strategy, to prioritize investment, business value and delivery.  This role will serve as the business requirements expert, engaging and managing the work of internal subject matter experts from the business. This role will also work with the business and IT delivery teams to identify and mitigate risks including business operational risks.

In addition, this position is responsible for managing the overall electronic data interchange (EDI) workflow and project activities for Four Hands. The role will work with the Director of Sales Operations and EDI providers to create mappings based on specifications.


  • Develop a deep understanding of the processes and functionality of the systems used by Sales Operations in order to develop a vision for what needs to be built
  • Work with internal stakeholders, primarily Sales Operations, to identify needs, gather requirements, develop user stories, and propose business solutions
  • Work closely with the Product Owner and Software Development team to ensure user requirements, stories, and acceptance criteria are well understood
  • Continuously groom user stories in the backlog to ensure the appropriate level of detail is captured at the right time
  • Support the Product Owner in generating and maintaining the product roadmap
  • Train business stakeholders for launches
  • Coordinate EDI trading partner implementations and testing including:
    • Partner with and support the Director of Sales Operations in EDI implementations
    • Work with EDI providers to implement new trading partners as well as modify and maintain existing implementations
    • Develop EDI mapping specifications
    • Test end-to-end EDI workflow for new implementations and any modifications made to existing implementations
    • Ensure all EDI document transmission issues are resolved in a timely manner
    • Develop & maintain internal EDI processes and procedures
  • Suggest areas for process and productivity improvements within the team
  • Other duties as assigned by management


  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2-3 Years of related experience in a similar technical role
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, requirements gathering, user stories/journeys, and working alongside developers and architects
  • Solid analytical and creative problem solving skills with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills – both technical and non-technical
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines and producing high quality work
  • Ability to work independently and remain flexible and organized throughout projects in a fast paced environment
  • The ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Familiarity with EDI terms, documents and processes, databases and VB, and JIRA software a plus
