Product Development Coordinator

Four Hands is looking to hire a Product Development Coordinator to work directly with the Product Development and Merchandising Teams to support the design and development of new product. This role will work closely with the Austin and Overseas Product Development teams to ensure data and information on new designs is complete and well organized. This person should have the ability to manage and complete multiple projects at any given time, and understand the time sensitive nature of the product development cycle. This role reports directly to the Product Development Manager.


  • Manage the flow of new product into the sample room and coordinate with the Marketing department to have new product photographed
  • Coordinate the review process for all incoming samples; both Four Hands branded and customer development
  • Assist in the tracking of international product shipments, and coordinate with the Four Hands Logistics department to identify port delays and expedite late product arrivals
  • Communicate product delays to the Product Development and Merchandising Teams
  • Track and manage the development of new finishes; including the management of finish libraries and coding
  • Manage Product Development Timelines and Calendars
  • Work with the Merchandising Team to procure product samples for wholesale tradeshows
  • Assist the Merchandising Team with the packing and shipping of merchandising assets to wholesale tradeshows
  • Attend set-up for Wholesale tradeshows, document product quality issues and work with outside labor to have them resolved before show opens
  • Assist the Product Development and Merchandising teams with Four Hands photoshoots and Look Books, as needed
  • Manage Product Inspiration and Development boards for current and upcoming design seasons
  • Prepare professional, branded presentations for internal and external customer use
  • Provide administrative support for the Product Development  and Merchandising teams
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Management
  • Domestic and International travel as needed; 4 domestic trips per year, International as requested


  • 3 years of experience in an office setting preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision/self-motivated
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Works with a sense of urgency with the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Computer literate with a focus on the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
